Meet the Blue-fronted Redstart
The blue-fronted redstart (Phoenicurus frontalis) is a species of bird in the family Muscicapidae, the Old World flycatchers. The size of these birds is between 15 to 16 cm and they weigh around 13-18 gm. The color of the blue-fronted redstart male is an ultramarine-blue on the head, throat, back, bib, and on the wings too. The underside of the Blue-fronted Redstart is orange in color.
Where the male is a stunning combination of blue and orange, the female is brown with no wing bars, though she does have a bright orange tail and lower belly.

These bids are found in central China and the Himalayas (where it winters in the southern foothills, as well as in Yunnan, Northeast India, and northern Southeast Asia).
Blue-fronted restarts like to live in the temperate forested areas of the countries they live in.
Here they mainly eat insects, berries, fruits, and seeds.
Their breeding season is between May to August, there is about 15 days to one-month variation in their breeding season in the different geographical regions they live in. They like to breed in brushy open subalpine areas and winters in foothills in scrubby areas, field edges, and gardens.
Due to its extended range, this bird is regarded as of least concern on the IUCN red list.
