Meet the Brown-headed Barbet
The Brown-headed barbet (Psilopogon zeylanicus) measures 27 cm in length with a large head and a short neck and tail wearing prominent pale streaks on its brown head and breast. They have a brown head with a large yellow eye patch, while the rest of his plumage is green. The bill is thick and colored red.
Males and females look very much alike.

Juvenile birds like very similar to adult birds though their plumage is duller.
This bird lives in and is native to the Indian subcontinent from Terai in southern Nepal in the north to Sri Lanka in the south.
Brown-headed barbets like to live in tropical and subtropical moist broadleaf forests as well as suburban gardens.
These birds eat fruit like mangoes, ripe jackfruit, papaya, banana, figs, and similar cultivated fruit trees as well as insects.
Brown-headed barbets nest in a suitable hole in a tree that they will often excavate. Both sexes incubate two to four eggs laid within and often communicate with each other using their Kura, kura calls.
This bird is regarded as of Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.
