The king bird-of-paradise 

The king bird-of-paradise (Cicinnurus regius) is a passerine bird of the Paradisaeidae (Bird-of-paradise) family. Males are easy to recognize due to their bright red color and two long, ornamental wire-like tail feather shafts, as well as the circular swirl of feathers, colored bright green, on the ends.

The Juan Fernández firecrown (Sephanoides fernandensis), is a hummingbird found today solely on Isla Róbinson Crusoe, one of the three-island Juan Fernández archipelago.

This species of bird quite possibly shows the greatest degree of sexual dimorphism found amongst hummingbirds.

The Taiwan blue magpie (Urocissa caerulea), also called the Taiwan magpie or Formosan blue magpie. They are about the size of the European Magpie, but with a longer tail. 

The Indian roller (Coracias benghalensis)

The Indian roller (Coracias benghalensis) is a bird of the family Coraciidae. It is 30–34 cm (12–13 in) long with a wingspan of 65–74 cm (26–29 in) and weighs 166–176 g (5.9–6.2 oz). The face and throat are pinkish, the head and back are brown, with blue on the rump and contrasting light and dark blue on the wings and tail. The bright blue markings on the wing are prominent in flight.

The speckled tanager (Ixothraupis guttata), is a medium-sized passerine bird. The upper area of this bird is green with black spotting with a yellow face that has a black line from the eye to the gape.

The indigo bunting (Passerina cyanea) is a bird that has sky, to deep blue plumage, while his wings and tail are black with blue edges. Outside the breeding season, his plumage is duller.

The painted finch (Emblema pictum) is a common species of estrildid finch found in Australia. The painted finch acquired its name due to the red and white spotted and mottled underparts of both males and females.

The scarlet minivet (Pericrocotus speciosus), is a small passerine bird that is 20 -22 cm long. The male Scarlet minivet has black upperparts and head, with a shade of orange to scarlet on the belly. The rump and patches on the wings are tinged scarlet.

The Oriental dwarf kingfisher (Ceyx erithaca), is the most brightly colored as well as the smallest of all the species of kingfisher, measuring in at only between 5 – 5.5 inches (13 – 14 cm) in length – including bill and tail. 

The Gouldian finch

The Gouldian finch (Chloebia gouldiae), also known as the Lady Gouldian finch, Gould’s finch, or the rainbow finch, is a colorful passerine bird that is endemic to Australia. Measuring 4.7 – 5.9 inches in length, these birds weigh in at 0.49 – 0.53 oz.

The flame-throated bulbul (Rubigula gularis), is a member of the bulbul family of passerine birds. 18 cm long this bird has an olive-green back with yellow underparts, a black head, and an orange-red throat. 

The lesser bird-of-paradise 

The lesser bird-of-paradise (Paradisaea minor), is a bird-of-paradise in the Paradisaea genus. 32cm long, the male is maroon-brown with a yellow crown and brownish-yellow upper back.

The red-fan parrot (Deroptyus accipitrinus), also known as the hawk-headed parrot, is an unusual New World parrot. This parrot is known for its striking elongated neck feathers that can be raised at will to form an impressive, highly elaborate neck fan, increasing the bird’s apparent size to any would-be attackers.

The flame-faced tanager (Tangara parzudakii), is a species of bird in the Thraupidae family. Sporting a bright orange forehead and cheeks which turn to yellow on the rest of the head. He also has a black throat and ear patch.
