A Duck Turns Up Out Of Nowhere And Helps Mend His Broken Heart

SOMETIMES WHEN WE LOSE SOMEONE WE LOVE, IT IS THE UNEXPECTED THINGS THAT CAN HELP US DEAL WITH SUCH A LOSS. THOSE UNEXPECTED THINGS CAN COME IN MANY FORMS. FOR ONE DOG TRYING TO DEAL WITH THE LOSS OF HIS LIFELONG BUDDY, IT CAME IN THE FORM OF A DUCK.

George had lost his lifelong buddy two years ago, Blackie had been his constant companion on his journey through life. The canine pair had been together for 12 years, and Blackie’s sudden departure more than just devastated George, it left him depressed.

Where Donald, the duck came from nobody really knows? He quite literally just appeared!

He just waddled into Georges’s life and ever since George has not cried a single time since.

How can a duck just appear out of nowhere and just befriend a dog he has never met before? Even more strange than that is Donald appearing on the week of the anniversary of Blackie’s passing.

Ever since Donald has arrived the strange pair hang out all the time. Donald feels so relaxed with George he will even rest his beak on George as he naps.

The two also go on walks together.

Jacquie told WVLT Local 8 that the pair will be walking together with Donald quacking and George looking at him and she says “you wonder if they’re really having a conversation”.

The two love to hang out on the porch together.

George has even given up his bed for Donald. “We decided to put George and his duck in the kennel tonight to keep Donald safe. George gave Donald his bed…”

Says Jacquie, “I must say this Duck has found the Golden Egg because anyone who knows me knows this is one ‘Lucky Duck’. I will take the best of care of him… hoping that he stays around.”

I’m sure George is hoping his newfound friend sticks around too! And from the looks of things, Donald isn’t planning on going anywhere.
